A patio heater is an infrared heater. It warms the people and surfaces in front of it directly, the way the sun does, instead of trying to heat air that blows away the moment it is warm.
That is why it still feels warm on a cool, breezy evening, and why it works best over a covered or partly covered patio, where the heat lands on the seats and stays there.
We look at your patio, the mounting and the gas run, then give you a written price. No obligation.
Natural gas suits a patio you use often: no tanks, and enough heat for a full table. Where a gas line is impractical, we will tell you on the consult.

Every heater has minimum distances to the ceiling, walls and furniture, set by its manufacturer. We check them on the consult, before we quote.
On install day our own gasfitters take out the gas permit, run the line from your home’s supply, mount the heater and test it. You are not coordinating a second trade.
We install across Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere and the surrounding communities.
They came on time and started working right off the bat. Never seen them take a break.
A natural gas heater does. Our gasfitters run a new line from your home’s supply as part of the install, so the line, the mounting and the safety check are one job.
It depends on the heater’s size and your gas rate. On full, every 10,000 BTU of heater rating burns about 0.01 GJ of gas an hour, so a 40,000 BTU heater burns about 0.04 GJ. Multiply that by the price per GJ on your gas bill.
Radiant heat warms people directly, so it stays useful on cool, breezy evenings. It works best on a covered or partly enclosed patio, and it is not meant to make a patio comfortable in deep winter cold.
Each model has its own minimum clearances to ceilings, walls and furniture. We measure your patio on the consult and only quote a heater that fits them.
Yes. Gas work in Alberta needs a permit and an inspection. Our own gasfitters take out the permit as part of the install.
