Many older Calgary homes have ductwork sized for heating only, so running central air through it can mean poor airflow and costly duct changes. A ductless mini-split bypasses all of that.
An indoor unit mounts high on the wall and connects to a compact outdoor unit through a small line set. Each room gets its own temperature, and nothing is torn open to run ducts.
We measure the space, check your electrical service and give you a written price for the right system, not the most expensive one.

The indoor units are quiet enough for a bedroom or a home office.
Unlike a window unit, nothing blocks the view or leaves a window propped open.
The outdoor unit fits tight side yards, and the line set is neatly covered inside and out.
Each indoor unit filters the air in its room as it runs.
Clean the filters regularly and have it serviced once a year.
A single-zone install (wall-mounted head, line set through the exterior wall, outdoor unit) takes four to six hours. Multi-zone systems take a full day. The home stays liveable throughout.
We plan where each unit goes so it does not damage your home or bother your neighbours, and we take care of the permit.
Yes. Most mini-splits we install are heat pumps, so they heat and cool. Cold-climate models, rated to −25°C, can be the main heat source for a room or zone through a Calgary winter; in extreme cold they work less efficiently but keep running.
A standard single-zone install takes four to six hours. Multi-zone installs take a full day. There is no major disruption to the home.
High on an interior wall, about 6 to 8 inches from the ceiling, on the wall opposite where you sit or sleep, so it can throw air in a long arc across the room. Avoid spots above doors, in corners or directly over furniture. We plan placement with you at the assessment.
Clean or replace the filters regularly, keep furniture and wall hangings clear of the indoor unit, and keep the outdoor unit clear. A professional service once a year keeps it running well.
Often, yes. Condo board approval, where the outdoor unit can go, electrical access and building rules all need to be checked before installation.
