How hot does the water get?
The system keeps near-boiling water in the under-sink tank. Temperature is set on a front-mounted control on the tank, so you can change it yourself after install.
How much space does the tank need?
The tank is compact and sits under the sink, out of sight. It holds roughly two-thirds of a gallon and reheats as you draw water. Your technician confirms clearance on site.
Does it need electricity?
Yes. A standard installation assumes a power outlet under the counter, plus accessible cold-water supply at an existing kitchen sink.
Will you have to drill my countertop?
Not always. Many kitchens already have an unused soap-dispenser or sprayer hole the faucet can use. If drilling is needed, that is confirmed before work starts — and if the job goes beyond a standard install, you approve the written price before anything is ordered.
Can I get filtered cold water from the same faucet?
The product we currently publish as The First Cup is the Chrome Contour SS hot-only faucet. Hot + filtered cool configurations are a different system — ask when you book if that is what you want.
What happens when the tank runs out?
The tank reheats as you draw. For a run of cups it keeps up; for a large volume at once, give it a short recovery — same idea as any small dedicated heater.
How much does installation cost?
$1,620.87 installed covers a standard installation at an existing kitchen sink with accessible supply and power under the counter. If your sink needs more work, you are told and you approve the price in writing before anything goes ahead.
Is the tea pairing included in the $1,620.87?
The published installed price is for the faucet and install. The First Cup tea selection is confirmed with you when we book; its price is confirmed then and is not charged on the product page.
