Choosing the Right Thermostat for Your Home
Newer thermostats are more intuitive than ever, and built for easy programming, thanks to the simple controls and touchscreen displays. Many can connect to your home’s WiFi, allowing you to change the temperature at home by using an app on your smartphone no matter where you happen to be. Smart thermostats can also automatically detect your local weather. They “remember” your preferred indoor temperature by utilizing algorithms. Still, choosing the right thermostat can be quite a challenge to some. Here are a few important considerations to keep in mind when shopping for a smart thermostat:Consider Your Existing HVAC System
Keep in mind that not all thermostats support all HVAC systems. For example, some newer thermostats do not support heat pumps.
