Description
Deluxe furnace inspection, maintenance and cleaning. The visit covers:
- Check performance of thermostat and related control devices
- Perform electronic analysis of products of combustion to assess presence of carbon monoxide (CO); the technician will show you the combustion analysis report
- Heat exchanger inspection for state of repair including presence of potential cracks or other defects
- Check main burner assembly and pilot for cleanliness, ignition and proper operation of safety controls and energy usage
- Check operation of main air blower assembly, assess for defects and adjust as appropriate
- Check operation of combustion air blower assembly, assess for defects and adjust as appropriate
- Lubricate motors, bearings and other moving parts
- Check and adjust fan control as required or desired for comfort
- Assess if motor amperages are within manufacturer's specifications
- Inspect condition of chimney and exhaust system
- Complete venting spillage test where appropriate
- Assess if temperature rise is within manufacturer's specifications, adjust as necessary
- Check air filter and distribution system for blockages
- Assess for combustion air quantity and quality
- Assess that the system meets code and other regulations
- Assess and adjust humidifier damper for proper seasonal setting
- Clean main burner and pilot assembly
- Clean blower assembly
- Replace blower motor belt where appropriate
- Clean or replace air filter (standard filter only) as appropriate
- Recommission, start-up and test in accordance to manufacturer's specifications
- Advise client of findings and provide any recommendations as appropriate
Parts and any repair work found during the visit are quoted in writing and approved by you before anything is done.
