AC maintenance in Calgary

Air conditioner maintenance and tune-ups in Calgary

Maintenance keeps a cooling system running the way it was installed to run. Clean coils, correct refrigerant pressure, tight electrical connections and a thermostat that reads the room properly. It is the work that finds a tired capacitor in May instead of on the hottest afternoon of July.

  • Free in-home assessment, no obligation
  • A written price before work begins, and anything extra approved in writing first
  • A two-hour arrival window, confirmed before the visit
  • Our own technicians, not subcontractors

What maintenance is for

Protect the system, hold its efficiency, and get more years out of it

If you are dealing with uneven temperatures, a cooling bill that keeps climbing, or simply no idea what condition the system is in, a maintenance visit is where that uncertainty ends. The technician services the equipment, reports its condition, and flags anything that needs attention before it becomes a failure.

  • Tune-up. Checks and adjustments before the first stretch of summer demand.
  • Routine maintenance. Cleaning, inspection and performance verification.
  • Life extension. Catching small faults early so replacement can wait.

Why regular service matters

An air conditioner works hardest in the weeks you can least afford to lose it

Calgary summers are short and sharp. Without regular service a cooling system loses efficiency quietly, costs more to run, and is far more likely to fail on the days it is needed most.

Better energy efficiency

A system that has been serviced uses less energy for the same cooling. The technician sets refrigerant pressure, cleans the coils and checks the controls so the equipment is not working against itself.

Longer equipment life

Routine service reduces wear. Finding a failing part while it is still a part, rather than after it has taken something else with it, is what keeps a system in service longer.

Cleaner airflow

A clean filter, a clear coil and a blower running at the right speed move air the way the system was designed to. Restricted airflow makes rooms uneven and puts load on the compressor.

Routine maintenance

What a tune-up is there to prevent

Ongoing maintenance is how you avoid a mid-season breakdown, keep running costs down, and keep the house comfortable through the whole summer rather than most of it.

  • Cleaning. Coils, the outdoor condenser and the filter, so air moves freely.
  • Replacement of wear parts. Filters, belts and lubricant, before they put strain on something expensive.
  • Diagnostics. Refrigerant levels, electrical connections, airflow, and the early warning signs that go with each.

Both are booked with a two-hour arrival window, confirmed before the visit, in Calgary and area. If the technician finds work beyond the visit, you see a written price and approve it before anything starts. Spreading the cost is possible through payment plans, and the work is backed by the AIC Guarantees.

Thermostat checks

A small thermostat fault becomes a large comfort problem

Thermostat batteries lose charge over time, and a dead battery can make the system behave erratically or stop responding altogether. Replacing them on a schedule, and checking that the thermostat is reading the room correctly, is part of every maintenance visit.

Capacitor checks

Capacitors are what get the motors started

A capacitor stores the charge that starts and runs the motors in a cooling system. They degrade with heat and age, and a weak one shows up first as a motor that struggles, then as a system that will not start at all. Testing them, and replacing the ones that have drifted out of tolerance, is ordinary maintenance work.

Questions

Air conditioner maintenance, answered

Why does regular AC maintenance matter?

An air conditioner loses capacity gradually. Coils foul, refrigerant pressure drifts, electrical parts age. Maintenance catches those while they are still adjustments rather than failures, which keeps running costs down, keeps the house cool through the hottest weeks, and keeps the equipment in service longer.

What is included in an AC tune-up?

Filter inspection, thermostat calibration, a refrigerant pressure check, evaporator coil inspection, outdoor condenser cleaning, tightening of electrical connections, blower motor inspection, a drain line flush, capacitor and contactor testing, airflow and temperature differential checks, noise and vibration checks, and a written report on the system’s condition.

How much does AC maintenance cost in Calgary?

Alberta Indoor Comfort sells two service visits online: the Maintenance Service Visit at $209, listed on the shop with current pricing, and the Deluxe Air Conditioner Maintenance at $269 + GST, which you can request through our scheduling page. If the technician finds work beyond the visit, you see a written price and approve it before anything starts. Payment plans are available.

When should I book AC maintenance?

Before the first stretch of real heat, or as soon as you notice weak airflow, air from the vents that is not cold, the system cycling on and off quickly, new noise or vibration, or rooms that will not hold their temperature.

Do you service areas outside Calgary?

Yes. Calgary and the surrounding communities, with the same two-hour arrival window confirmed before the visit.
