What this is
This is the genuine OEM replacement bulb, one bulb, for the Sears Germinator UV treatment system. It is the lamp the system was built around rather than a generic substitute.
The bulb is a consumable part. Alberta Indoor Comfort’s recommendation is to change it once a year, so the system keeps working the way it was set up to work.
Changing it
The swap takes a few minutes. There is no washing and no other maintenance in between.
- One bulb replaces one bulb. The rest of the Germinator unit stays where it is.
- Dispose of the used bulb properly. It is a mercury vapour lamp, not ordinary glass.
- If you would rather not do it yourself, an Alberta Indoor Comfort technician can fit it.
